THE ORCHESTRA
The interest is to shake up habits by approaching orchestral music differently, with the desire to surprise, to take sides. To engage in a new conception of the orchestra, to enlighten it in another way through the rhythmic section, to deform it, to bend it or to twist it.
Under the direction of Benoît Graindorge, the 40 musicians give us their vision of today's music: heterogeneous, atypical, offbeat.
Oblique is a symphonic approach to today's music.
Neither vertical nor horizontal, at an angle.

BENOIT
JAYOT
Bass player
Bad student since his birth, avoiding diplomas with assiduity, he obtains against all expectations, in 1999, a CAP in cooking at the Lycée du Castel in Dijon. From setbacks to disappointments in this sector of activity, he understands, only after a certain time, that he is not made for that. He then decides to turn to his teenage passion: music.
Unfortunately, the beginnings are difficult, so he becomes a fishmonger to supplement his meager income. This dubious period, half man half fish, which was nothing disagreeable but during which he learned nothing of the performing arts, will last more than a year. But it is irrelevant.
Since then, he has become a double bassist, bassist and banjoist in several musical groups (Urgo et les Straps, La Peau du Zouk, L'Épicerie Quartet, Oblique ...). He has composed music for shows with different companies (Cie Sky de Sela, Théâtre des Monstres, Théâtre de Ume, Cie Tintinabule. Cie des Gens, Cie Manie, Cie Contrepoints.fr,…). He is also an actor with the Théâtre Rouge (mask, speechless), the Cie des Gens (classical and contemporary texts) and the Cie En Attendant ... (young audiences).
JULIAN
PIANETTI
Drummer
The ultimate drummer in the region, flagship of the Oblique dream-team, Julien® looks like a human being in every way.
Created in 1982, it is the result of the latest generation of excellent rhythmicians from the Pianetti © brand: the latest advances in deep learning, combined with the teaching received at the jazz department of the Dijon conservatory, today give it a extraordinary power.
It accelerates very little! Contrary to the old models of invoice more "rock'n'roll", certainly of a robustness in any test, but much less constant.
overclockable up to 260 bpm, without any overheating: Julien® shows all its potential in the fever of high tempi.
Thanks to its 2 62mm sensors located on the sides of its main processor, it is almost able to recognize and identify almost all the notes of certain ranges.
It can adapt its sound volume to its environment: all the instructions such as "piano" or "pianissimo" and even "diminuendo" have been added to its database
Julien® is versatile: he is also a graphic designer (he joins the association of the JazzClub Clermontois for which he creates the posters for the Festival Off each year)
It has dozens of words in the French language and it can interact live with its users! He provides answers adapted to the situations he encounters, such as "yes" or "no" or even "thirst!"
They have tested it and recommend it: groups iltika, Pourvuxadur, Hyperion, Delo, Le Grand Accord, Amaria Trio, musicians Gaspard Baradel, David Fontaine, and drummer Josselin Hazard.

PIERRE-OLIVIER
FERNANDEZ
Composer
Pierre-Olivier began learning the violin at the age of 6 under the constraint of his parents, he successively failed in music theory, deciphering, writing and ensemble practices. His classic course was ultimately aborted: he was dismissed from the CNR in Dijon in 1996.
After a long period of procrastination he tries to take an interest in traditional North African and Indian music, tries to use his violin differently and ventures to practice other instruments. Then follows a series of setbacks on the saxophone, a fiasco on the guitar and a bitter disappointment on the Mandingo percussion.
By evolving according to uncertainty, a certain form of luck and fortuitous encounters, he manages to perform alongside artists such as Daniel FERNANDEZ, Bastien LALLEMANT, Yves JAMAIT, Albin de la SIMONE, BABX, Seb MARTEL or JP NATAF.
He accidentally joined the Cie du Théâtre des Monstres, Cie Manie and Cie Service Public of François CHATTOT. He is introduced to formations like Iltika, Hyperion, Damien SAINT LOUP, or Urban Quintet ... and succeeds (to a certain extent) in composing for the orchestra of the CRR Dijon and Oblique.
He accompanies singer Linda DE SUZA in the show Carte postale du Portugal. The tour is interrupted after only five performances.
Pierre-Olivier says today that he plays the oud.
